Reds reunited

Nemanja Vidic says it’s great to be back alongside defensive partner in crime Rio Ferdinand and he hopes the pair’s telepathic understanding will help the team to more silverware this season.

The duo were reunited for the first time since October at Molineux last Saturday as the Reds grinded out a vital 1-0 win over Wolves, and they were together again for the Champions League clash with AC Milan in midweek as United secured their spot in the last eight.

Vidic admits the pair are both pleased to be involved after a frustrating spell on the sidelines with injuries and they are relishing the chance to play their part in United’s double assault for trophies.

"We’ve both been injured for a while and I think we need a few more games before we hit top form. But nothing has changed since we’ve been out – we always know how to play together," the Serbian told ManUtd.com.

"We understand each other - he knows how I will react in certain situations and it’s the same the other way round."

"It’s frustrating when you’re out and hard to watch the games because you want to be out there helping your team. But we’re back now and hopefully the injuries are behind us."
